Bronze
Sculpture titled, 'Deer Crossing' |
|
|
|
|

|
The sculpture "Deer crossing" captures the image
of Colorado's native
wildlife. The white-tailed deer , commly found in the United
States
and Canada, were once seriously threated in certain areas. They are very abundant now, thanks to hunting
restrictions and
the lack of natural predators. |

Deer
Crossing depicts a herd of deer ambling across a cobblestone creekside. White-tailed deer are animals of the
edge,
constantly aware of their surrounding habitat.
'The
herd is alerted by cracking brush in the woods, they
hesitate for a moment- instinctively, they're not more
than a few jumps
from the bordering thickets'. |
